Small-group catamaran trip from Faro to Barreta, Farol, Culatra, and Ria Formosa, with birds, oysters, and optional island lunch.

“The views were astonishing and serene. We got to experience a lot of the Portuguese culture and nature. However, for the amount of €40 per person, it was not worth it. We paid for a guided tour but were just chauffeured around. There wasn’t a tour per say, we just went on the boat with a few facts here and there for 4 hours plus walking on the islands. Also, the tour guides attention was clearly not equally distributed and he portrayed favouritism.”

Faro to Benagil Cave from above, then Algar Seco, Praia da Marinha, and scenic cliff walks, with guided viewpoints and free time.

“Both guides were extraordinarily kind people. The one leading the tour, who was a biologist, always had a smile on his face and explained everything in detail. He also took beautiful photos of anyone who wanted, with the views and landscapes of the place. I am Latina, and the warmth I felt from both tour guides was the closest I’ve experienced abroad to the warmth of the people back in my country!”

Small-group 3-hour boat tour from Faro through Ria Formosa, with stops at Ilha Deserta and Farol Island for swimming and lighthouse views.

“The first island (Deserta) was really quite deserted. We were just left to roam around for 45 minutes. No shade and very very windy. Not pleasant. The second island (Farol) was much nicer with more charming vibe. There was no public bathroom on both islands. The guide Filipe did all the basic commentaries, not too informative. An average experience”

“I was lucky to travel with a small group of friendly fella and the weather was wonderful! The car ride was pleasant. We made a few stops exactly like the description. The time allowed to do sight seeing on our own was sufficient! Well done to our guide Arthur as he showed us the lesser known viewpoints/photo spots. He gave the right amount of info for the places we have visited. I highly recommend this tour to all of you!”

The coastal areas we visited were absolutely stunning and João was very knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions. Cannot recommend this tour enough and we will definitely come back in the future!”

Sunset catamaran on Portugal’s Ria Formosa from Faro, small-group boat ride with life jackets and skipper in English.

“Such a beautiful place. Just flying over the Ria Formosa is a site to see, so don’t miss it when you are getting into Faro. The boat ride was okay, there weren’t too many birds that day but just looking at the water and sunset there is spectacular if you like sunsets. Good tour, I would go again.”

“Had an amazing time on this beautiful trip! Pedro and Rilany are super kind and knowledgeable. They showed us the most beautiful places like the Elephant Rock at Marinha Beach, the Benagil Cave and Algar Seco. There was a good balance between group time & free time and the weather was absolutely amazing! Especially considering it’s February. Would definitely come back in March or April to try and spot the chameleons Pedro told us about.”
