“This was such an adventure! Our guides, Hugo and Mano were great. I was picked up in Funchal and driven to the meeting point. After changing into all the required gear, you hike to the canyon. We did a lot of rappelling (abseiling) and clambering over and around rocks. There were a couple short, natural slides and two jumps into the water below. We also had a bit of swimming to do.
