“Day 1 Sintra & Cascais was wonderful. Our guides name was Joshoa. He was very pleasant, on time and gave us the backround history of the area. So knowledgeable. I recommend him highly. Day 2 Fatima, Nazarae and Obidos our guide Carla was terrible. Her driving was unsafe as she kept crossing over the lines on the highway. When she was talking she talked with her hands and was taking her hands off the steering wheel. Also, while driving she kept trying to find something her purse and also using her phone while driving to put Waze on, etc. . She should have been organized before we got into the…”

We were able to make the most of our time at the locations we visited and there were so many great photo opportunities. My main highlight was going up to Lagoa do fogo with its incredible views, especially as the weather stayed fine while we were there. The lunches were amazing and it was well worth trying out the delicious (but filling) cozido das furnas which for any visitor to the Azores is an absolute must!
